STA National Conference

Attached please find the call for presentations for the 2016 STA National Conference to be held in Chicago, Illinois from June 2 – 5, 2016. Our conference theme is “Connecting Body, Mind and Spirit through Sandplay”, and we are excited to have Martin Kalff be our keynote speaker and also lead other sessions during the conference. Additionally, we are pleased that Denise Ramos from Brazil and Judy Zappacosta will be leading plenary sessions at the conference.
We especially look forward to submissions from international members. We are looking for proposals for presentations for break-out sessions and pre-conference sessions. Finding a stillpoint in today’s every-changing world is a monumental task and is essential for the survival of soul and spirit.  The world is in crisis and our humanity is at stake as we are faced with ever increasing change, conflict, and violence.  Amidst these global circumstances, deeper psychological wellsprings are needed to contain trauma, and offer some version of constancy and hope in uncertain times.  In our work, a personal Jungian psychoanalytic focus using Sandplay Therapy is a way of discovering an inner stillpoint.

Current Activities

All of the ISTA members use Sandplay Therapy with their client populations as a part of their general professional practice.  Many of our members (and trainees) contribute therapeutic services to the communities in the Southern part of Israel that have been victimized by rocket and mortar attacks from the Gaza strip, and who have been direct and indirect victims of terrorism,   Many of our members also contribute to special communities and populations in which they have found Sandplay Therapy makes a significant contribution....
